Our Holiday
This is what we did on our holiday in Skipsea, near Bridlington, on the East Coast. The caravan was very nice and had a television. I slept in the top bunk and Matt slept in the bottom bunk.
Sunday
Today we did an obstacle course,
then we drove to a park and played on the slides and the roundabout. There was also a space rocket that went very fast.
Then we went to a pub and played on a giant hippo and a big tree with a smiling face. After tea we went to a disco and played in a room full of squishy toys
and Matt tried to lift a bowling ball but he was too little:
Monday
Grandma and Grandpa Kershaw came to see us today. We played games in the Sea Dogs Club then went to the beach.
In the afternoon we had a picnic

Tuesday
Today we went to Bridlington to see sweets being made in a rock factory:
I rolled my own stick of rock with a 'L' in the middle:
Then I was a chocolate worker - I had to clock in with a card in a machine. I had to stir the chocolate with a big knife then make a chocolate lolly.
Then we went to the beach and I found a boy who was buried up to his neck in the sand so I dug him out.

In the evening we went to a disco and I danced and drank lemonade:
Wednesday
We went to Crickley Farm and lots of chickens tried to eat our sandwiches:
There were lots of animals but we weren't allowed to touch them in case they got poorly.
We saw piglets, cows, deep mud, some cockerels, some tiny chicks and a girl Shire Horse called Shiela. Mummy bought me a sticker book and I had a Postman Pat lolly.
After swimming and tea I had my face painted like a Fairy - it tickled when the lady put glitter on my lips.
A girl called Amy also had her face painted. Here is a picture of her, and her sister Lily.
Thursday
Today we were going to visit a museum but it looked boring so we went to a shopping place (Hornsea Retail Village) instead. We bought some pens and books then found a big play area with lots of games and a giant bouncy castle with a big cactus and a jail. I did some squirting with a water gun.

In the afternoon we watched a film on television because Mum and Dad said we were getting very tired.
Friday
Our last day. We went to the swimming pool in Bridlington and I went down the water slide (o did Matt). I didn't like the wave machine though.
Afterwards we went shopping but Dad stayed in the car with Matt because he'd fallen asleep:
Back at the caravan I wrote some letters in my Letterland book (c, a, h, t, d):
then we played with the bat and ball with Daddy outside.
After tea we went to the cafe and had a Strawberry Sundae. It was very nice and I gave some to Matt. He was very messy.
